Micayla's Grandad's Cornet

Yesterday Micayla bought in her grandad's
cornet to show us. It originally belonged to her grandad
and her uncle played it in a band.

We had fun listening to the sounds and music
Micayla made with her beautiful cornet.

Term 3 Christchurch Symphony Orchestra

 Today 5 musicians from the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra visited us to teach us about their special instruments.

Their instruments were the clarinet, violin, flute, trumpet and cello. Each musician explained to us their instruments and how it works.

They played their instruments and some of the music we recognized. For example Star Wars, The Pink Panther and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

It was a really interesting experience because we learnt a lot about their instruments.
